July 14 car show on campus will benefit veterans with PTSD
July 5, 2018
On Saturday, July 14, from 2 to 6 p.m., ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï’s Warrior Veterans organization will host its second annual Charity Cruise-In to benefit the not-for-profit FW22 organization. It will be held in ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï’s Schick St. parking lot on the Fort Wayne campus, just west of Andorfer Commons.
The event will feature live music and raffle prizes, and culinary trucks from Bravas and Whip & Chill Ice Cream will be on site. Admission is free for spectators. However, if you have a sweet car or motorcycle you are really proud of and you want to bring it out to show it off, it will cost you $15; $10 if you have a Three Rivers Festival button.
You can also get a picture with a piece of history as a replica of the 2017 Indianapolis 500-winning No. 26 Ruoff Home Mortgage Honda will be at the show. Fort Wayne-based Ruoff Home Mortgage is partnered with Andretti Autosport again this year in the Verizon IndyCar Series.
FW22 is a local not-for-profit group whose mission is to support veterans, particularly those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and raise awareness about suicide. Warrior Veterans is an approved chapter of the Student Veterans of America.
